Beyond the Pixel

So, ive been thinking about doing online courses…but im not sure what I want to do. I was talking to the Art Institutes Online Devision on doing some kind of online courses.

But, my money decided to go in other directions.

Turns out I slipped a disc in my jaw making it hurty hurt. So my monies went WHEEEEEEE.

I wanted to buy a nice digital tablet as well. Ahh well. I really should start teaching myself how to draw. So then I can can get decent at drawing. The hope is that if I do drawing and get okay at it, then it would make doing 3d stuff a bit easier. First step, drawing. Then, naughty hentai! Mwahahahaa!

Also Congrats to Shadowfang for joining the old man thrall by graduating from college! Yay! Now he joins the workforce and has to slave away instead of having fun. Like the rest of us! >:O

So, for once in a long time The Simpsons was actually entertaining. I laughed! :O
But then I was rather disappointed with the new show Shut up and Sit Down or whatever the hell its called. And now here we are…Family Guy…It started out so good, but now its devolved into stupid political garbage…again!

Seriously, if you can think of funny things or at least make the political things be a background funny, just stop! >:O

Down with HFCS!

Actually, im actually glad that they (the food companies) are slowly using more real sugar as opposed to HFCS(High Fructose Corn Syrup). While its debatable if you believe the stuff about it or not, I find that real sugar thingies just taste soo much better.

Also, delicious steak.

So far, im not too terribly impressed with the new gametap look. It is rather easy to break.

I guess the biggest annoyance right now is that its obviously beta. It even says so right in the top corner. However, for future programmers and all that, please dont use your entire customer base as your beta tester…especially by “force.” Next time, please do us a favor and test in a voluntary sign up before subjecting everybody to it. Thanks.

So Comcast has been getting on my nerves as of late. Today marks the fourth time that we had a tech come out for the same time: the net suddenly drops and we are unable to get net back for anywhere at 5minutes to an hour.
At least the third tech gave us a new modem..which has logs.

Turns out, from what I understand, is that the signal is just fine. However, the darn thing times out attempting to reach the DHCP server. Then it gets T1 to T3 errors. This leads me to believe that it has to be somewhere not in the complex or even on their line.
Co-worker mentioned that its prolly a poorly configured router. A local friend also came up with the same solution.

However, todays tech did what he always does…read the perfectly fine signal. Of course its not going to show up wrong. However, Heather shows him the logs and he pretty much gives the excuse that “he can use the logs because not all modems have logs.” *Sigh*

So he left doing nothing. At least they had some maintence guys come out and look at it, but, not surprising, they didnt find anything wrong. Again, leads me to believe something is wrong SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Least to say if it continues to go out. I am going to switch to Bellsouth DSL. Surprisingly, they are pretty decent in town and for about the same price I am paying, I can get the 6 meg down option. Too bad I dont want a satellite dish on my porch or I would get the full DishTV option and ditch Comcast all together.

Blah.

Maybe it is time to send an angry letter to the executive level.

Well today is my bday and I cant say it was the greatest bdays in the world.

So about 4am last night, the neighbors hot water heater ruptured and decided to make a mess in my apartment. Least to say, I was glad I woke up on a random note and found it as such. The neighbors were not home at the time so maintence had to go inside and turn off the water.

Had to call in to work which sucked also because we have a major deadline due this week as well.

So I spent my day delirious and zoned out trying to get things fixed.

The benefit out of all of this is we got a new water heater ourselves. The maintence guy looked at ours and deemed that ours was more likely to go soon. It also didnt help that the surge of water from the water heater above was leaking directly onto it causing some rust issues.

But I did get some lewt.

• Sonic the Hedgehog: The Dark Brotherhood
• Dragon Quest IV.
• A delicious cake Heather made for me (yay!)
• Pancakes.
• Marzipan. (mmm Marzipan)

And I did get to spend my bday with Heather after all
